"Child's book publishing ezine" is something about "Thinking Intellectual" in this field, whether you're here to write a child's book and publish a child's book; or to just read some topics about children and other related family issues.
I know some "how-tos" to this topic (i.e. How to Write a Children's Book and Get It Published?), since I'd done a kind of "Network" for children as a journalist, though English is not my native language. Being a writer and a journalist since 1971, I have published before in 1983, but that was in a different area and different languages. I have now two books and one research in three different languages (Arabic, Danish and English) ready for publishing.

My professional orientation towards children education began early in 1974 when I began teaching children for some years in my homeland; and then engaged in children teaching studies preparing for a children teaching diploma, before escaping my country to Iraq, in which I worked for some time a children teacher in Baghdad.
All this happened while I'd never stopped working as a writer and a journalist both in my homeland, Iraq and later in Eritrea. Journalism has also opened my eyes towards writing for children, and highlighting some children issues in the press and the ministry of education in Eritrea.
I've always been doing two, three jobs a time! And until this moment, I am doing more than one job in more than 20 websites beside the "Child's Book Publishing Ezine", that you can browse from other pages in this "Child's book publishing ezine" network.
Well, since those are different countries and the children issues could vary, that doesn't mean the methods of writing for children, or teaching children are different, thanks to John Dewey whose theory and practices fulfilled my children teaching diploma studies. This is another story.
But it still gives me that specific passion to how to treat children, and how to make your own reflection in this beautiful world. This is the first rhythm in the alphabet of writing and publishing for children. So, through this rhythm, I am intended to tell you more about me to get acquainted, before you start writing or publishing your child's book.

In a Child's Memory: The Pen and the Gun!
One of the very important ideas in our World is saying "We always take the wisdom from the elders". So, our children keep ties with their families strong. It's the actual vehicle that drives our society and makes these bonds between us strong generations after generations.
It's not the state's responsibility to take care of our elders. It's their children's. This is missing in a busy World. Therefore, this World should build this idea or re-build it, if it exists somewhere. But, oh… I am not out of topic, am I?!
I do believe in the people power and when I take this lesson out of the action of the political scene, I can well say that the age of the wisdom is leading to success. No success will be achieved without an experience. Those who bring us the wisdom of doing things right, are doing it because of their long lifetime experiences. So, we should be glad to be their students and "inheritants".
And we should be "gladder" when we see the wisdom moves through long inherited experiences, and actual lifetime experiences, to colour our world with that lovely vision of clarity. This will indeed help any passion to grow and prosper.
Everyone can simply be an expert in any passion because there's no expert ever has been born with an expert's spoon in his mouth. People actually learn it. Children's book writing is not exceptional.
With those words in mind, I started as a very ambitious writer since the early days of my childhood, when I wept over the pictures of John Kennedy and his Jacqueline on the dialy Journal, the day he was shot... while the whole class-mates in the fourth class at my primary school were wandering around me and wondering why I was weeping. I was eleven years old then. The emblem of our country was saying: "I brought you the friendship of all the people of the World." So, Kennedy was not stranger to me that time, but a friend.

That was the first picture in my childhood to open my eyes to the World, and to make me decide to take a PEN in stead of a GUN. How long this experience is, if I count from 1963?
So, I have classified the two vehicles early in my age. The PEN is an emblem of education, knowledge, love and life. The GUN is an emblem of illiteracy, hatred, and death. And since the creation of the human beings, those two specifications have been their nature, though there was no GUN that time.
Beauty and Walt Disney World
I was telling stories, making presentations in front of my class-mates in the Arabic language lessons, especially when there was a composition period. So that act made an influence, to perfect my speech, enrich my imagination and flow my ideas. They just kept flowing from the tip of my tongue like clapping two fingers (Thumb and Middle finger). I wish I could write that sound! I use this technique too when I feed my babies.
In the process-theory there's no difference if somebody takes this action above in Arabic, English, French or any other language.
I started doing the same thing on the street while I was walking from school home, or from my home to my father's shoes and beauty boutique, or coming back home from the "Modern Occurrence Boutique" which was the first and only cosmetic shop of its kind for some times in my town.
  | Coco Channel, Yves San Laurent, Pierre Cardin and the other beauty makers who I don't remember their names at this specific moment, were creating a vision of a beautiful pictures in my emotions. So, this is why I belonged to the "Romance" school in arts, even after a few couple of years when I began reading Arthur Rimbaud when I was in the intermediate school. Then I read to those Parnassians and joined the "Sons of the Sun" arts group in my town.
I thought those emotions have lot of attractions towards this children's world. And yes of course they were combined with the first attraction to this world that was made by Walt Disney.
My favourites were Tin Tan or "Tim Tim" and Mickey Mouse. They attracted me in addition to "The Ghost" better than "Tarzan".
I am recently re-reading them to attract that children's world and live its pleasures again; and to visualize some thoughts for children's book writing, children's book techniques, and children's book publishing. No, I am not getting old.
How do children play? And how can their plays influence writing a child's book?
OK, let's play a little here in this brief example. Consider your subject is a preschooler. In my homeland it would be a primary school's pupil at its first grade. And you want to fix a new letter and a new picture, which both make a word in his mind. Don't worry, you could start writing a child's book from this prospect...> Well, if you're still here-- that indicates you've strong desire to continue nocking on my head;-) But, wouldn't you whisper while your mouse plays with this text link: "Open Sesame"!
